Jeff Daniels: The Newsroom Returning For Season 3

According to actor Jeff Daniels, "The Newsroom" is returning for another season.

"It's official. #Newsroom coming back for a Season 3," he Tweeted on Tuesday night.

The series stars Jeff as anchor Will McAvoy, of the fictional TV news program "News Night."

"The Newsroom," from creator Aaron Sorkin, is up for two acting Emmys at this year's ceremony. Jeff is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor, while Jane Fonda is up for Outstanding Guest Actress for playing Leona Lansing, the CEO of Atlantis World Media, which oversees Atlantis Cable News (CAN), the network "News Night" is on.

No official announcement, however, has been made by HBO.
