Go Inside Tom and Gisele’s Eco-Friendly Mansion

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and NFL star Tom Brady live in the upper echelon of American celebrities.

So much so, that it seems appropriate the handsome couple would live in a house that resembles a castle — complete with a koi-filled moat.

Bundchen, 33, and Brady, 36, show off their impressive, eco-conscious abode in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood in the new issue of Architectural Digest. The house is located on land that they purchased about six years ago because of its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

The New England Patriots quarterback says that he and his Brazilian-born wife were extremely involved in the end result.

"It was important for us to plant roots for our family, and since we both enjoy the creative process, we decided to start from scratch," he tells Architectural Digest.

Not surprisingly, the house they built is stunning. The moat encircles a structure made of limestone walls and steel doors and window frames, all custom, of course.

Inside, the couple and their kids — 6-year-old John (Tom's son with Bridget Moynahan), as well as Benjamin, 3, and Vivian, 9 months — enjoy features such as marble countertops in the spacious kitchen and bathroom, a fully equipped gym complete with wrought-iron monkey bars, reclaimed-oak ceiling beams, and gorgeous light fixtures and chandeliers throughout.

While that sounds pretty fancy to us, Gisele insists that the residence reflects her love of "simplicity" and "coziness."

"I want to live in a place that feels like a real home, where you can put your feet up on the couch and just relax," she says.

In addition, the couple added a few special personal touches, such as a framed photo of Gillette Stadium (where the Patriots play) above the fireplace in the bathroom for him, and an elaborate closet with marble countertops and an antique crystal chandelier for her.
